Get your high school athlete bigger, faster, stronger, and ready for the upcoming season! Merritt Canton is starting a 6-week, 2x per week program designed to improve speed, agility, coordination, sport specific strength, power, and flexibility. Importance is also placed on recovery and injury prevention. Join Truet Purnell, Certified Conditioning Specialist, as he takes your young athlete to the next level in training while having FUN!
Ages 13-18, All sports, male and female
Cost $120 for 6-weeks (meet twice weekly)
Classes offered Monday-Thursday 10:00AM-11:30AM and 3:00PM-4:30PM

Fitness Yoga teaches a friendly, energizing, and challenging style of yoga that incorporates principles from several yoga disciplines including Iyangar, Ashtanga, Bikram, Kundalini, and Taoism. Drawing from these disciplines, the practice uses postures and breath applied in both static and dynamic nature, and emphasizes the fitness of yoga, providing participants with an incredible mind/body workout.

Merritt Triathlon Club is directed towards assisting current or aspiring triathletes in swimming, cycling, and running. The main focus is to help athletes train properly for upcoming triathlon events using proper technique and endurance. Swimming aspect focuses more on freestyle technique, while the cycling and running are directed more towards building endurance. Running should be done independently. Merritt Swim Lessons Beginner classes for 3-8 year olds with an emphasis on floating, kicking, front and back crawl. Intermediate classes for 6-12 year olds - improve ability in front crawl, back crawl, and an introduction to breaststroke and butterfly. Adult beginning and intermediate classes as well. Enhance your pre-natal wellness by participating in this group hosted by Dr. Loredana Petrucci. The group will include personal training centered around healthful and mindful exercises specifically for women during pregnancy. Group will also include relaxation techniques and wellness topics. Train twice a week for 5 weeks. One day will be dedicated to hill work, sprint drills and plyometrics and the second day will focus on slower paced, longer distance running/walking on flat terrain. At the end of 5 weeks, participants will complete a 5K race and compare times to initial event. For those who choose, a 10K event will also be offered. Cross training and strength training recommendations will also be given to all participants.

This 35-minute circuit is offered in a group environment that is overseen by a personal trainer and incorporates a full-body workout to get your heart pumping and your body burning calories to help you reach your fitness goals. ActivTrax routines target total body fitness - includes muscle toning, weight loss, increases in strength, cardiovascular abilities, and energy levels.
