Favorite Song:

Truly, it depends on the moment because I value many genres. There could be a raunchy, sweat-inducing guitar rift or some dope beats coming through my speakers. In class, I play less distracting music. My summer-vibe hype songs are “Shine” by Tobe Nwigwe, “Feels Like Summer” by Sander Van Doorn, “Shine” by Koffee, “Notion” by Tash Sultana, “In The End” by Aviate, and some jams by Kash Doll. I always enjoy some gnarly ear snacks, so if you have something new for my ears to munch on, please share!

Teaching Style

Rolling your mat out in my class should feel as though you’ve etched a moment of gratitude for yourself! My classes motivate students to experience renovations of the mind through our harmonious hour of yoga. I design qualitative sequences, which are curated to the everyday human experiencing endurance of the mind or body. My classes are modified for diverse experience levels, with a focus on safety and personal comfort (alignment), while keeping a chill vibe of empowerment.

A Little About

Rae Granofsky

Unfazed by any weather conditions, including the rain or snow, I may be found outside soaking up activities in nature. As a water bug, I am an instigator for SUP racing or SUP yoga, and SUP raced during both of my pregnancies. I became WPA certified in SUP/SUP yoga so I may get all bodies comfortable on the water. As an endurance enthusiast, I even ran an ultramarathon around town, while pregnant, for fun. In the summer, I revel in sunrise/sunset activities, such as open water swims, trail runs, cycling, SUP, triathlons, and much more. In the cold months, I will still be outside (with different gear) because I am inspired to move in all of nature’s offerings. My little wildlings spark my fire to push them in the double jogger or tow them behind my road bike (because pushing or pulling over 100 lbs is fun, right?). Skilled in American Sign Language, I am grateful for each experience of volunteering within the Deafblind community. I enjoy the prevailing hobbies of reading, guitar, exploring spicy foods, and diy home projects. I savor tent camping or cabin glamping trips with friends and family. Our dog and cats provide lots of chaos/laughter for our family circus; and they will get on my SUP yoga board in our pool, like little furry surfers. They have a wicked surf stoke! Thank you for taking time out of your day to read more about me. I’m overjoyed to be with you in the Merritt fam! I look forward to meeting you on your mat!
