My musical tastes are very eclectic so it's hard to narrow down to favorite songs. I like a little of everything: Billie Holiday, Bob Marley, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Beastie Boys, Bruno Mars, ZZ Top, Broadway show tunes, you name it.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very dance-based, having been influenced by several years of ballet and jazz dance classes. For many years I taught group fitness classes for an internationally known dance fitness company. So give me the 8-, 16- and 32-count music phrasing!
A Little About
Polly Hejna
Now that I'm retired I have time to catch up on all the reading I was unable to do while working. I like reading crime fiction by Michael Connelly, C.J. Box, Lee Child, etc. Watching my favorite sports teams, shows on streaming platforms, puttering around the house, and taking care of my husband and senior cat keep me busy day to day.
