Unmotivated? Have an Attitude of Gratitude

Unmotivated? Have an Attitude of Gratitude

The key to consistency is simply to change your mindset in how you view it.

“Ugh I have to go to the gym, I don’t feel like it. I’m feeling unmotivated today.”

Versus

“I get to go to the gym. I have every physical capability to work out. I get to focus on my physical health because I have access to the gym.”

When we approach activities with gratitude, going to the gym transforms from a mere task into a privilege and responsibility to care for our bodies. Living in a first-world country with access to excellent gyms, nutritious food, and comfortable shelter is a significant privilege that many lack. Recognizing this can help shift our perspective and motivate us.

Next time you’re feeling like you “have” to go to the gym and aren’t really motivated, remember that you have the choice to go, while others might not. Be grateful for this opportunity, and it will help you push and follow through.
