Healthy Recipe of the Week – Roasted Chickpeas

Looking for a healthy, high protein, high fiber snack to help curb salty snack cravings? I have just the thing, roasted chickpeas. There are 1000 ways to make them, but here is my method.

What you will need:
one can of chickpeas (garbonzos)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
salt (optional)
garlic powder (optional)
hot sauce (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Open can of beans and rinse and dry them. Add olive oil and desired seasonings, toss until coated. Spread on a baking sheet and bake until brown and crunchy, about 40 minutes to an hour.
