Winter Workouts: Staying Active While It’s Freezing Outside

Winter Workouts: Staying Active While It’s Freezing Outside

Cold weather can make it tempting to stay at home, curled up in your Snuggy while binge watching the newest thing on TV. Indoor workouts can be your best friend if you don’t want to brave the cold.

1. Bodyweight circuits.

Don’t have equipment at home? Squats, push-ups, lunges, planks and mountain climbers can keep your heart rate up. Same sets and reps apply if you were at the gym.

2. HIIT Workouts.

You can set a 45 sec ‘active’ and ’30 rest’ and do the list above for 4-5 rounds.

3. Strength Training with dumbbells or resistance bands.

If you have some weights at home but not a wide variety, focus on compound movements like rows, presses, deadlifts.

4. Merritt On-Demand. We have a wide variety of content you can use while at home (or vacation in the summer months). Take a look on the Merritt Clubs app.
