Swimming

Outside in a pool or inside at a gym, swimming is perhaps the best sport or exercise for those who need a low impact workout, but need to drop some pounds. Because, just ask any active swimmers, the virtually effortless exercise burns calories fast, but puts no unwanted stress on your joints.

Swimming, as a sport, has a lot of variety. There are many types of swimming exercises, and loads of different swimming strokes to learn to help burn calories. Plus, it’s perfect for those who may have neglected to learn to swim. No better time to start than now.

Tip: Start out with just a few laps once a day. Then, as you become more comfortable in the water, increase the duration and variety and drop those pounds fast.

Tennis
