My name is Cerina – I am from Alberta, Canada – and I have loved teaching fitness since I was 18 years old. My inspiration comes from my own grandmother who taught me to never stop moving, thinking, and challenging yourself – and always striving to be the best version of yourself. I love anything that requires hanging upside down and flying. Back in Canada, I taught Aerial Hoop, Antigravity aerial yoga, and bungee fitness for many years! Each class is structured to build power progressively, helping riders push past their limits in a supportive environment. I focus on creating a space where every rider feels capable, energized, and motivated to give their personal best, whether they’re new to spin or seasoned athletes. My goal is to inspire confidence, resilience, and a genuine love for the ride.

My approach to fitness is to leave it all on the table so there’s nothing left to wish you gave. You can do anything for 30 seconds, 2 minutes, 10 minutes, an hour – just depends how how bad you want it. OR I love to teach to the beat of the music while envisioning the road ahead. I believe there’s a lot of power behind rhythms themselves and want to help cycle lovers like myself ride those sound waves through whatever roads life throws their way.

I was trained in the Sivananda lineage which came to the US from India over 50 years ago. My classes encourage deep relaxation by taking brief periods of rest between breathwork exercises and the same sequence of 8-12 asanas. It’s unlike most classes you’ve taken; I hope you will give it a shot!

Whether it’s someone’s 1st or 100th ride, teaching Cycling is about creating a welcoming space for every rider to show up and prove to themselves that they are stronger and faster than they originally believed. I like to cater to the various preferences of my riders: whether its going heavy on hills or speed intervals, spicing things up with choreography or arm weights, or themed rides with music from across the world or decades (I always welcome requests). Everyone comes into the Studio with different baggage, so I teach to not only provide a workout or distraction, but a feeling of cathartic release; and our group scream at the end of class helps a lot with that.

It’s important that my class feels accessible and welcoming to all participants. We turn up the music and celebrate ourselves through choreographed dance – It’s a wonderful feeling and I want share it with as many people as I can. I encourage those with a sense of curiosity to step out of their comfort zone, get lost in the music and experience the magic of BodyJam!
