My training philosophy is that we start where we are. While we might have been in better states of health prior to this moment of wanting change we need to take a step back and understand we have to build with a ground up approach. We don’t start at where we were at our past peaks. This doesn’t mean we can get back to those desired points but that the path to get there might be different and incorporate more steps. Thats okay, my goal is to help you find that new path and back to a better state of health providing some knowledge for shortcuts along the way.

I’m all about functional fitness. I think that strength training is an integral part of your workout routine so that you can carry out your everyday tasks with ease. For example, I’m constantly chasing around and picking up my daughter. I’ve been told that my teaching style is motivating, relatable, and challenging. I’m a career teacher so I bring that to the stage at Merritt.

My name is Cerina – I am from Alberta, Canada – and I have loved teaching fitness since I was 18 years old. My inspiration comes from my own grandmother who taught me to never stop moving, thinking, and challenging yourself – and always striving to be the best version of yourself. I love anything that requires hanging upside down and flying. Back in Canada, I taught Aerial Hoop, Antigravity aerial yoga, and bungee fitness for many years! Each class is structured to build power progressively, helping riders push past their limits in a supportive environment. I focus on creating a space where every rider feels capable, energized, and motivated to give their personal best, whether they’re new to spin or seasoned athletes.
